Beauty At Your Fingertips : Review of Vaniday

VANIDAY

Living in the 21st century, we have online market places for practically everything; clothes, shoes, accessories, food and guess what- now its salons!

With one sprouting up literally in every little nook and corner in Dubai, it is pretty hard to find a place offering the type of service you want without an overview of all the salons and services each offer. Swiping through hour long beauty menus and pondering over your next manicure, would mean googling for the contact number to make an appointment, walking to a phone and finally making your appointment? But why go through all the pain for a little pleasure?

The simplicity of the Vaniday app, its ease of use and endless array of salons and spas is the perfect innovation for the 2016 beauty world. Not to lie, but the overwhelming selection of choice did drain my battery but it always ends on a positive note :) Personally, I think the mobile application is much more versatile as opposed to the online website so let me quickly take you through the steps:

STEP 1

The interface of the app is segregated into distinct categories ranging from Hair, Nails, Makeup and Spa and even a special category for the lads!

STEP 2

Upon selection of a category, you can choose services from over 600 salons based on filters such as proximity to your area of residence, ratings, price or even keywords.

STEP 3

Post the selection of the service, the user is directed to a relevant list of salons providing the particular service. What is amazing about Vaniday is that it allows you to make a real informed decision as you can view the salon profile, read reviews, view photos of the interiors including some of their work. The versatility of the app is impeccable to a point where you even have the freedom to select your beauty assistant apart from the date/time.

STEP 4

After choosing your desired service, a review of your selection, price and the salon of choice and the service pops up for a final confirmation.

STEP 5

You can decide to pay via cash/card at the salon or by card online or if you're lucky enough, even a voucher code.

Et voila, your appointment is booked, service assistant selected and all you gotta do is show up! In the unfortunate event you cannot make it to an appointment, you can cancel it up to 24 hours in advance... Let's hope that never happens right? The additional bonuses of the app include buying a gift card and discounts for Vaniday subscribers which are pretty worthwhile I might add.

In dire need of a mani and feeling experimental, I decided to try this cute little vintage salon located on Al Wasl road and if it wasn’t for Vaniday, I wouldn’t have known about the existence of Essentials Hair & Beauty Salon.

Sue wanted to get gelish nails and found a great salon called Nadia Beauty Style on Sheikh Zayed Road which had special limited edition packages going on, one of them being AED 120 for a gelish manicure and pedicure. Now wasn’t that a steal!

Taking the term ‘Customized’ to the next level, honestly, Vaniday has made my life so much easier with all my beauty and wellness needs at my fingertips. And the icing on the cake is their responsive and accommodating customer service.

It will be interesting to see further developments with what is a highly promising and extremely useful beauty tool and their app-solutely amazing mobile interface. Have you tried the app? What has been your experience? Let us know in the comments below.

Have a great week!!
