Max Fashion Spring 2016 Collection Launch

Who doesn’t love a good bargain when it comes to shopping? As much as I would love to splurge on all the trends from the runways, it is near to impossible to do that without having to empty my pockets. That’s why I do make it a point to check out brands like MAX fashion that provide easy and affordable options to try the countless trends… guilt free. Wouldn’t you agree?

This week, Max, the largest value fashion brand in the region showcased its spring 2016 collection at a spectacular fashion show that took place at the Westin Hotel. The event began with a lovely cocktail reception with several activations scattered around the pre-function area including an accessories booth, live LED screens capturing the audiences, a photo wall with customized polaroid and a caricaturist who drew attendees. How amusing is my portrait? Lol

What made the event even more exciting was catching up with fellow bloggers and it was without a doubt a fun evening with Bhavika Bhojwani and Chandni Lahoti of Sheikhland (above) and Moe of Wetrendstyle

In attendance at the event was Mohammad Assaf, winner of Arab Idol, Season 2, who has collaborated with Max for the 'Fashion for Real People' campaign that launched in November 2015. The 360 campaign basically encourages people to embrace their own unique style, by treating fashion as an extension of one’s personality. And I couldn’t agree more! That is the beauty about fashion and why it never gets boring. Fashion does not need to be dictated by catwalks and glamour pages, but reflect your individuality.

The Spring 2016 collection was prudently designed to reflect this ideal. Trends woven into the collection blend understated elegance with a touch of modernized style. A minimalist 70’s approach pervades this season, brushed with modernism for a neo-nostalgic look that is dreamy and pensive.

It has a strong nautical message with easy and flowy fabrics in classic maritime with revamped classics, evolved spots and stripes. Nautical colors with bright highlights in quirky conversational prints and oversized polka dots adds a more modern take on this evergreen trend. It’s all about comfort hence key shapes such as culottes, tubular maxi’s, roll-up chinos & resort polo t-shirts play a big role in updating this classic look.

Black and white tailoring with proportion play and typography from the past carry on in this season as well. Stencil florals, linear markings, and simple horizontal stripes update the classic monochrome trend with key shapes like long lined cardigans, slim leg pants, wrap front jumpsuit boxy shift dress, kimono’s & slim leg with kick flare trousers.

Here are some of my favorites that I am sure you will love too.

I will be heading to Max to update my spring wardrobe this weekend. What are your plans?
