Going Bananas Over Banana Republic

Last evening, was nothing short of a festive party at the re-launch of Banana Republic's store at the Dubai Mall. Bigger, better and brighter, the store was buzzing with the latest tunes and guests were treated to some festive refreshments and sweet delights, which I couldn’t resist but help myself to.

Banana Republic’s collections over the years have always had similar safari-inspired looks and stepping into the store last evening took me by surprise as the latest collection saw modern mixes of masculine and feminine design elements with clean cuts – just the kind of classic styles I love.

I had my eye on a few things, the first one being this lovely scarf with fashionable text on it - Great for layering or just making a subtle statement.

I also loved this structured metallic dress, perfect for festive dinners.

The latest accessories collection boasts bejeweled to minimalistic pieces for the bold and the beautiful.

I for one am loving the ‘New BR’ under the brand's new creative director, Marissa Webb - One that’s a bit more modern, edgier, and chicer than we're used to.
