Old is Gold

Have you heard of the phrase, “Old is Gold”? Well that’s been my anthem lately with all these blasts from the past fashion trends reviving the prior seasons. So, my baby sister was rummaging through a pile of clothes she bundled up into a 2kg ball and that was when I discovered this gorgeous item of clothing.
I wish I could say it brought back memories but this tribal cape was in existence well before I was born. Yep, this cape is about 25 years old and it belonged to my precious Grammy. Instead of buying the new reformed and printed ones at the mall, I’m happy with my vintage cape and best of all, it provides comfort to a level one can imagine. I think I can actually sleep in it….
As I wanted the pattern to stand out, I kept my garments very pale and simple. I opted for white to brighten the outfit, as opposed to a black or grey which would have added a dull tone to the look.
