Oh you know just a super fun collab with Aeropostale. How’s that for a Thursday afternoon? ;)

When we were approached to be a part of the blogger campaign for Aeropostale Fall 2015 collection we were over the moon. Not only was it a great opportunity to connect with Dubai's bloggerati but the best part about this collab was the freedom to style our own look ultimately reflecting who we really are.

This was a major challenge for me as you will usually find me scanning the shops for formal or semi-formal structured, feminine pieces, unless I am preparing for a summer holiday. To up the game, I made it my personal aim to ensure I did not own anything remotely similar.

It took me a good 30 minutes of trial and error to figure out what was most flattering for my pear-shaped figure and I finally zeroed in on these white skinny jeans (which are seriously amazing!!), crochet top and sleeveless faux leather jacket. I had been looking for a pair of white pants for the longest time ever and these fit like a glove; almost as if they were custom made just for me! My next mission was to find a top to go with. I am not the one to shop for basic tees or collared shirts so when I saw this cute little crochet number, it had to be mine. I did not know what look I was going for until I spotted this rebellious faux leather jacket and bam that’s when I knew I had to channel the 'Biker Chic' trend popularized by Marlon Brando in 1953's 'The Wild One'.

Unlike my regular style but still very much me, this outfit was everything and more. I had never experimented with this look before but after parading in the trial room, it had all the ingredients that reflected my vibe. It successfully created the right amount of edginess and I was super excited to see myself in this avatar.

It was fun being my own stylist creating a look that shines a new light on Aeropostale’s otherwise casual clothing.

Happy Weekend y'all and only 3 more working days till we break for Eid..woohoo!

Working on our script for the video edit. Watch out for this one boys and girls!

I didn’t have a bike for a prop but coincidentally a group of bikers called Enigma were at our shooting location and they readily obliged to click a bunch of fun photos with us.
