We are all familiar with Dubai, but did you know that the United Arab Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah holds long stretches of undiscovered sun-kissed beaches and bath-temperature waters of the Persian Gulf? If you still believe the RAK-bashers, then perhaps the backdrop of these photos will change your mind.

Outfit Details: Shorts and Top - Forever 21, Boho Neckpiece - ALDO, Slippers - Ipanema, Sunnies - Rayban Wayfarers

The red sand and clear waters was so unbelievably gorgeous that I can’t even accurately describe it to you. The tide was out so far we had to walk for a few minutes just to reach the water. Though it was super hot, a gentle breeze made for a comfortable temperature. Even the water was warm and perfect for swimming! Seriously, I think I could sell some of these photos as Greece postcards, it was that amazing!

My idea for this outfit was boho beach inspired and basically I was just waiting to wear this gorgeous neck piece again. I bought this top a few weeks ago from Forever 21. I don’t usually pick prints like this but there was something cutely ethnic about it and with these blazing temperatures outside, a fun, breezy cotton top is just what I needed to beat the heat. The last time I wore these distressed black shorts was back in 2012, during a Euro trip with friends and I was so happy to discover they still fit perfectly.

Apart from lounging on the beach, and taking a relaxing dip in the pool, it felt good to kick of those high heels and feel the sands in my toes. Over the long weekend I also managed to finish this hilarious, adorable yet heart-breaking book called Me Before You by Jojo Moyes recommended by my little firecracker of a cousin, Savanah. Trust me when I say this, you will not want to put it down and although your eyes will have welled up, it will make you realize how true love can happen under the most unexpected of circumstances.

I know we have been behind on blogging but we are starting to catch up again. Whether it was a staycation, an exciting travel adventure or just a chilled time at home, we hope you all had an amazing break.

Lots of Love
