Japanese Vibes

These past few weeks of frenzied sales and crazy discounts have got me to accomplish one mission, and one mission only. Shop my butt off! I haven’t come across a single person who doesn’t love a good deal and I’m no short of that. Since I’ve just begun my internship, I’ve been in search for a couple of dainty outfits for the workplace and chic casuals for Saturdays. Yep, I work on Saturdays now :(

We decided to hit the town for some meetings after work and it was a good chance to slip into this kimono. It’s safe to say, it was love at first sight the second I laid my eyes on this gorgeous piece. Many of us love that free flowing and airy feeling when we pop on a kimono and in this scorching heat, this is a perfect cover up- especially during this month. The fusion of colors and intricate floral design makes this piece go from an instant ‘like’ to ‘love’! You catch my drift?

For the longest time now, I recall my parents being obsessed with Debenhams, for good reason of course, and naturally, I’ve grown a slight liking towards the department store. I picked up this stunner from Warehouse, which is one of the partnering brands in Debenhams for about AED 100. Would you believe me if I said it was originally for AED 400? Was it a steal or what??

Speaking of kimonos, here’s a throwback from one of our first posts when we started our beloved blog. I’m sure you can now understand our fondness towards this item of clothing ;)

To focus all the attention on my kimono, I kept rest of my outfit muted and simple. The taupe-beige top is from American Eagle, black leggings from Forever 21, creamy nude flats from Call it Spring and lastly, the bag was great purchase deal from Accessorize.
