Skincare is honestly something that I’m trying really hard to be better about especially the areas other than my face which more often than not I am guilty of neglecting. I’ve basically survived this first bit of my life relying solely on moisturizing 1-2 times daily and having a shower with an olive oil based shower gel. Though this has been adequate up until this point, I’m mindful of the fact that I’ll only be able to get away with it for so much longer. I’m really conscious of my dry skin, especially on my legs and elbows, which is often aggravated with seasonal transition. There’s also that whole aging thing to start considering, but let’s not get mental just yet!

Lush - Angels On Bare Skin face and body scrub is for those of us in pursuit of fresh, naturally glowing skin. Don’t all of us ultimately want this? I use it mostly on my neck, shoulders arms and legs and occasionally on my face before taking a shower to get my skin squeaky clean and rid of all the dirt and dead skin cells.

This scrub comes in a doughy format and you only need a small amount for the areas you want to treat. Beware, coz I have found myself playing with it like a kid with Playdoh. Once you pinch a piece you need to mix it with a little water in the palm of your hand till it becomes slightly pasty and then generously apply and massage the textured paste on your skin. Whilst some of you may not like the whole messy application, I actually find this novelty way of using a face and body scrub quite fun. Its pleasant scent of lavender is quite calming and I have not experienced any skin irritations by the formula which is composed of mostly essential oils. The crushed almonds provide enough exfoliation and it has visibly reduced flakiness especially around my elbows and feet. The scrub also improves the texture and radiance of your skin and leaves it feeling instantly soft and supple. I wouldn’t suggest using it as a makeup remover but it is definitely a great cleanser for your body during the summer.
If you ever visit a Lush store, you are bound to spend at least an hour discovering the goodness of their various products much like a woman in Sephora. I really appreciate that Lush cosmetics don’t feel greasy and that they’re forcing me to realize that using fresh, all natural products to treat your skin are necessary than chemical laden products.
Three cheers for the angels in this product!
