For over 50 years now Femina has been capturing the essence of the modern woman, and how she has been evolving. I personally have been reading Femina India since my teenage years and have to say those advice columns sure did teach me a thing or two. How many of you still do? Femina Middle East has set a similar milestone in this region by capturing the true essence of Middle Eastern woman and what makes them powerful.

Last week, it celebrated the completion of their one year journey in the Middle East by recognizing the true spirit of women achievers in the region. We love how they felicitated and celebrated the game changers to mark its 1st anniversary in the region.

Held at the Dubai Ladies Club, the exclusive Hi-tea event was attended by over 150 women including her Highness Sheikha Alyazia Bint Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan who was there to extend her support and encouragement to all the women achievers.

Some of the achievers who were felicitated included the likes of Raha Moharrak, the first Saudi woman to have climbed Mount Everest, Fatema Fardan, the first Emirati to showcase a collection at New York Fashion week, Huma Qureshi, celebrated Bollywood actor of Gangs of Wasseypur and Ek Thi Dayan fame and Saher Shaikh, who was felicitated for being Unstoppable as a Social Crusader for her charity Adopt-a-Camp that supports the UAE's laborer population. Each one of them gave total girl power speeches and it was fun and refreshing to see so many successful women support each other in the drive for success and inspire other women.
