A Beautiful Breakfast

With Dubai being at the heart of its summer, Sue and I have vowed to stick to the 21 day ‘clean eating’ challenge. This means no cakes (hard), no chocolates (harder) and basically nothing junk (hardest!). Yep, I know what you’re thinking, 21 days is way too long to go without cheating at least once - and you’re right. I’ve already broken mine, but Sue is a soldier! Nevertheless, despite my occasional indulgences, which I actually believe is healthy. I was buzzing to kick off my day with a healthy and scrumptious breakfast at the Farmers Garden in Al Wasl Vita. What better way to enjoy a great brekkie than with some amazing food and an awesome bunch of people.

Tish Tash is one of our favorite PR agencies, and thanks to them, we got an exclusive invitation to attend the Beautiful Brands breakfast meet up where they showcased multiple well-known brands such as Rahua, Konjac Sponge, Balanced Guru and Urban Veda. Of course, I arrived at 10 am sharp and was warmly greeted by the representatives of Tish Tash and Beautiful Brands. I’ve never been a juice person but today was a ‘first of many’ for me and might I say, juicing is my new hobby because as soon as I headed home, I knew my juicing addiction began. Whilst nibbling on a healthy beef and coleslaw sandwich and a flaky chicken puff pie, the Beautiful Brands Rep. talked us through the ideas and concepts behind the range of products.

If you haven’t heard of Beautiful Brands, they are a fabulous team behind many of the most beautiful, all-natural and ethical brands in the UAE. I’ve always wanted to try out the Kojnac sponge just because it looks so fascinating and there isn’t anything like it in the market, so naturally I was thrilled when I found the sponge in my little goodie bag! Some of the products from Balanced Guru consisted of an energy mist that ‘brings out your emotions’ or enhances your feelings. With a mixture of various extracts, spices and scents, these mists gave us a very refreshed morning kick. Urban Veda is another all-natural brand that creates holistic products based on the ancient principles of Ayurveda- having been formulated in the 21st century; this product is perfect for the modern au-natural woman. Lastly, we were introduced to the Amazonian brand, Rahua, which also happens to be the star ingredient in the Rahua hair care collection. Their shampoos and conditioners are 100% natural and organic and is definitely the kind of product I need in my shower.

I was privileged to attend the event and leave with some great products to try and test out so, keep a look out on this space for more reviews coming very soon!
