Pampered

When we received an email from Sarah regarding another blogger party, I can honestly admit, I was over the moon. Such events are quite rare and we always praise Sarah for the initiative she takes to bring some of us bloggers together to have a good time.

We were scheduled to arrive the Beauty Connection Spa at about 5:30 PM, and me being probably the most punctual woman on this planet, I was there are about 5:25 PM just to get a quick glimpse of the massive, and I mean MASSIVE, day spa. Did you know it is the biggest day spa in the world? We didn’t either! As I entered, the quirky marketing manager, Aubrey Dinio, lead me inside a huge space bustling with women chatting away whilst getting their manis and pedis. I was seated beside a row of bloggers and being the shy person I am, I was anxiously waiting for my second half to arrive.

Now onto the most difficult part of the manicure process, choosing the perfect color. With about 200 shades to choose from, it was a given that I’d be contemplating over the perfect shade for a minimum of five minutes, but I did end up sticking to an opaque white with a matte top coat- those instagram nail photos really get to me :’)

So, FINALLY, Sue arrived and luckily there was a vacant spot right next to me. Sue loves colors and is loads more outgoing then myself, so she went for a summery lilac color which suited her perfectly! We got done with our complementary manicures in about an hour and headed over the cafeteria to officially meet the other invitees.

Meeting other bloggers is fun cause there’s always that instant connection you share because you have the same hobby and once we’re in the mood, no one can simmer us down from a good chat!

Now onto the star of the evening- this bag of makeup, hair and skincare goodies!!! Sue could literally feel my excitement without looking at me and my impatient side couldn’t wait to run to my car and scan each and every product in the bag.

Aubrey gave us a full tour of the Beauty Connection Spa which has 6 ‘DISTRICTS’ (You thought of Hunger Games too right?), each one bigger than the other:

• Wax District

• Facial

• Red Nail Avenue

• Hammam

• iBrows

• Hair-A-Cut

We meant to visit this place as soon as we saw them on Instagram but never found the chance but let me tell you there are so many things different in this spa that truly makes them stand out from the rest in Dubai. Their hygiene level is impeccable because they always use a new set of disposable tools when working with a customer. The staff are very cordial and patient - especially when I made my manicurist change my nail polish a few times. With over 200 staff, what makes this spa even better is that they are able to accommodate walk in customers with absolutely NO APPOINTMENTS!

And hell yeah we are going back soon!!
