Simplicity, Minimalism and Clean Cuts is our basic style and Splash Fashions Spring Summer ‘15 collection explored exactly that and at the same time infused the luxury of fashion. Right from the design of the invitation to the venue, to the collection and finally to the after party were spectacular and indeed reflected how Splash Fashions has truly evolved.

The collection was launched at a new venue this year, Jumeirah Emirates Towers which was divided into three stunning areas with the guests first being welcomed into the pre-party zone which served premium refreshments and gave everyone a chance to mingle and get snapped. The main area for the show was transformed into a garden that highlighted the way nature and modernity blended in seamlessly. 42 models glided down the runway in a surreal set that came to life with the energy from the audience.

Post the fashion show, the guests (including us ;)) moved to an exclusive party arena where DJ Kennedy played some of the latest tracks and had grooving and shaking till the wee hours of the morning. We were amazed at how they transformed the Godolphin pre-function area into a hip club! I mean that's what you call creativity!! The VIP show was attended by UAE’s crème de la crème which saw Raza Beig walk the finale with Nisha Jagtiani amidst a thunderous round of applause. All fashionistas, Splash fans and customers also got a taste of the season’s most awaited runway action across two shows earlier in the evening.

Here is a closer look at some of the pieces from the SS'15 collection (Roll over the image for the price of each item). The two dominant trends featured at SS’15 fashion show:

1. Luxe Zen

This collection will have a strong Far East exotic Japanese influence with a good mix of classic and new silhouettes. Simplicity and clean lines will be the highlight sending out a demure vibe. The women's collection consists of a combination of textures and fabrics, free flowing silhouettes with a strong presence of florals and vibrant prints.

Colors range from cotton white , classic neutrals with injection of bright colors and black and gray accents to naturally highlight the look. Some of the key pieces include boxy kimono tops, long tabard tunics, bermuda coolots, jumpsuits and Bardot tops.

2. Gypset

As the name suggests, the Gypset collection captures the more gypsy/bohemian culture that takes you on a whimsical ride this season. Think Vanessa Hudges, Olsen twins, they portray this image to the tee!

Paisley dresses and suede tassels can be seen on some of the key pieces which include floral printed maxi dresses, maxi skirts, 70’s inspired flared pants, capes and ponchos- already feels like we’re living in the old age ;)
