We were feeling a bit daring and wanted to change up our usually pretty, smoked out makeup into something more intense and out there. Inspired by The Vampire Diaries and Twilight we came up with a look that we are pretty darn happy with. What do you think?

For those of you who want to have a little fun with makeup and make yourself look all sexy and obscure then you definitely will want to read on. This look is all about accentuating your features, which means darker brows, bigger eyes, contoured cheeks and full juicy lips.
We think it will look amazing with any kind of dress as it adds something edgy and dramatic yet chic and iconic. To achieve this hauntingly beautiful look your palette needs to be deep and intense with the richest, most captivating colors ranging from crimsons, dusky blues to rose golds. Having used some of the most riveting colors from the Too Faced ‘Everything Nice’ palette, we created this vampy look - which we are definitely going to be rocking this weekend.
Here are some of the main points on how to achieve the ‘vamp look’. Refer to our post on our Nude Makeup on how we prep and prime our face.

1. An airbrushed face is a must. If you have pale skin, you’re half way there honey! For this look in particular, flawlessness is perfection. We’ve stuck to only using concealer where necessary and compact. If you do have stubborn blemishes or marks, apply a thin layer of foundation over your concealer (but before doing you brows) for smooth coverage. Matte compact is a must to combat oily T-zones.

2. Intense eyes usually required medium to dark makeup. We went for something slightly dramatic.
‘Fawned of You’ in the crease
‘Girly’ all over the lid
Layered on ‘Secret Lovers’ to intensify and darken the shadow
‘Knockout’ in the outer third of crease
Using a flat dome brush, apply a matte black shadow in your crease as well
Anastacia Beverly Hills dip brow pomade in chcocolate
NYX eyebrow gel
3. Vampires are absolutely perfect. Well, from what we’ve seen in the TV shows and movies at least. A sharp and chiseled face structure is something worth envying. Not to worry though, makeup is our power. Arm yourself with your favourite, bronzer, blush and highlighter.

You want to look fresh faced so pick a bronzer and blush with amazing staying power so you still have that glamouros glow with you for most part of the night.
4. On to the star of the look - THE LIPS. The lips are usually the most vibrant part of this look. Depending on your complexion, pick a deep hued shade of red that complements your skin the best. We’ve used:
- MAC Cherry Lip liner
- MAC Diva Lipstick (which is the best burgundy red shade ever!!)
5. Keep your hair sleek and simple to let your lips take center-stage. We personally ADORE the deep side part ponytail. It’s smooth and super chic. Use a tail comb for a perfect side part and later proceed with adding on products to achieve the hair style.

If your night is going to be long, ensure you carry your concealer and your lipstick in case you need to touch up your make up.
Happy Weekend!
