Once you’ve got your dress sorted the next focus is on your hair and 'makeup'.
Even though bridal makeup is usually neutral and simple, it is essential that your makeup lasts all day, through all the crying, hugging, kissing, eating and dancing. Of course you’ll want your mascara to be waterproof, lips to be kiss proof, and your skin makeup to be sweat proof.
Remember the goal is to emphasize your best features not prove how well it is applied.

TIPS ON THE MOST IMPORTANT MAKEUP PRODUCTS

FACE PRIMER
Hide imperfections with face primers as they fill in the pores and make your skin look a lot smoother.
CONCEALER
Emphasize your eyes by brightening any darkness under them with corrector and concealer and apply this before foundation for best results. Here is a guide to colored concealers.
Green neutralizes redness (rosacea, pimples, etc)
Yellow neutralizes blue (dark circles)
Lavender neutralizes yellowness
Test these out during your makeup trial to see the difference.
FOUNDATION
Make sure your foundation matches your skin tone, be sure to check it in both natural light and artificial light.
Wedding photography is usually done in natural light and if you choose a heavy base the make-up will look very obvious and harsh. In terms of flash, you just need to ensure that your T Zone is matte. All that it takes is fine translucent powders and blotting powders, not layers of make-up.
HIGHLIGHTER
Who does not want to shine on their wedding day? To get that beautiful glow, apply highlighter to the tops of your cheekbones, near the tear ducts, and just under the brows. Avoid using glitter and keep shimmer to a minimum.
BLUSH
To add some life to your face and to avoid looking too pale, use a subtle blush on the apple of your cheeks. A universal flattering shade is a peachy pink color (NARS - orgasm or MAC - Peachykeen).
EYESHADOW PRIMER
Use eyeshadow primer to keep your eyeshadow in place, even when you’re crying out of happiness or dancing in joy. This will prevent creasing throughout the day.
MASCARA
Use waterproof mascara, so it won’t stain your cheeks if you happen to shed a tear (or more). It is not necessary to use black mascara- for a more natural look, brown mascara can be better choice.
FALSE LASHES
The easiest way to enhance your eyes without using too much makeup is to wear false lashes. If you are afraid that lash glue will trouble you, get lash extensions for the big day. The most natural looking lashes have an invisible base like Ardell’s Invisbands.
LIPSTICK
It is important to choose a lasting lip color.
Neutral, brown, and pale lip colors can look washed out in photographs, so choose a lipstick that’s a shade or two brighter than what you would normally wear. If you usually wear a neutral hue, it should be worn as a base, with a pink or rose colour on top. If you typically wear dark lipstick, use that as the base, and apply a brighter pink on top to give the colour a lift. Pinks, roses and plums are all classic choices for brides
Lipstains work amazingly well as they give a nice natural color to the lips that you need for pictures, plus it lasts for hours.
Choose a lip liner in the same shade as your lipstick. Lip liners prevent the lipstick from bleeding and makes the color last even longer
TOP TIPS FROM BROWSE & BRUSHES

Always do a trial with your makeup-artist before the wedding to see which colors and look you’re comfortable with. Wear a white t-shirt so that you can see how the make-up looks against a pale color and take a few pictures of yourself in day light (with no flash) to see how it looks.
Concentrate on the most important elements of your look, such as flawless natural looking skin, delicately groomed brows and light feathery lashes. If you get these basic factors right the rest of your make-up will fall into place, says celebrity make-up artist Caroline Barnes.
According to Lancome UK Make-up Artist Ambassador, Alex Babsky, It's best to avoid lipsticks at either end of the texture scale; too glossy and they'll only last few minutes whilst too matte and they may leave your lips dry and flakey by the time it's the moment to kiss your groom. A moisturizing, satin finish lipstick is best for a wedding - this formula will keep your lips looking their best and will wear off the most evenly and naturally; several thin layers, blotted between applications will give the most long-lasting finish.
Don’t forget you’re decollete, if your dress shows it. A tiny amount of soft shimmer will add the final touch to your look.
Lastly, try not to stress too much. Stress is the worst thing that can affect your skin in the form of breakouts. Put a clean pillowcase on every night and drink plenty of water (avoid sugars, excess milk, and carbonated beverages). Your body and skin reflects what you eat, so get plenty of veggies and fruits.
