Browse and Brushes visited the La Baie Lounge at The Ritz Carlton JBR, for a beautiful morning of delicious breakfast, nibbles and some beverages whilst we got talking to find out more about Skin Republic and their products.

Skin Republic is a dermatologist tested hypoallergenic range of face masks with organic restorative properties. The concentrated nutrients and ingredients present in the masks leave your body feeling moisturized, supple and rejuvenated. They currently have a range of 13 products focusing on skin care for the face, under the eyes, neck and décolletage, hands and feet.

By the time we got there at around 9:15 AM, we were starving!! We love some old fashioned bacon and eggs with a side of pancakes, and yes indeed, that’s what we got! Skin Republic ensured that every table had their print on it - Be it the masks itself, or maybe a little goodie bag. So we had to check it out!

After our scrumptious meal, Stacey had the opportunity to sit with Samantha, one of the founders of Skin Republic to talk more about the range of masks. One of their best sellers is the hand mask, which we really wanted to try! They’ve sold about 1 million of them which is especially popular in the Asian countries. Given that the products are Korean made, they definitely have a focused market and will now be launching in UAE in stores such as Waitrose and Spinneys, to name a few.

When you first put your hands into the hand mask, it does feel a bit gooey because of the serum that’s present inside the glove. However, what’s great about this is that you can go on with your tasks or work even with the glove on. Truly a quick fix!

Stacey left it on for about 20 minutes, as was recommended, but when you remove the glove, a lot of the serum residue stills sticks to your palm. BUT THAT’S THE BEST PART! All you have to do is keep massaging the creamy serum into your palm till it’s all absorbed, after which, use a cloth to dab off any excess.

Towards the end, we dug in to some sweet treats, although we were stuffed and obviously couldn’t resist taking some good photos.

We ended the day with a little goodie bag from Skin Republic which was given to us by the organizers of the event, Tish Tash Talks PR Agency. It consisted of about 4 products, for the neck, feet, face and hands which we shall definitely be reviewing very soon.

As for the outfit, Stacey went for something very daytime and casual. Floral patterns are perfect to wear anytime of the day really, but we feel the morning is apt! We topped off the look with a messy bun, click here for an in-depth pictorial.
