On one of our shopping expeditions during the Eid break, we strolled into Victoria's Secret to check out their latest clothing and lingerie collection and couldn’t help being drawn to their bath and body section with the whiff of enticing smells throughout the store. We must confess that our all-time favorite is the original Victoria's Secret Bombshell (which is seriously one of their sexiest scents that we have been using for almost 2 years now), so naturally when we spotted the latest edition in the Bombshell collection we were super excited.

The Bombshells in Bloom collection, launched in Spring 2014, is a revamp of the original, awarded edition. The composition of pink freesia with water lily flowers provides sharp floral notes with an aquatic undertone while the red apple adds a fruity juiciness to the fragrance. It is very feminine with a sweeter top note (compared to the original Bombshell) and fresh which is great for spring and summer!
We love the fact that this has a classic yet simple and sharp scent all rolled into one. When we tested the perfume, it smelt fresh, cheerful almost like a sweet smelling shampoo. Although the longevity of the fragrance is a bit weak and nothing earth shattering, the clean, youthful, fruity-floral scent is enjoyable for daily wear.
The bottle is strikingly gorgeous with the large flower and pretty pink coloring. Bombshells in Bloom is available in glass flacon with pink stripes and a romantic flower on the neck, in the amount of 50ml (priced at AED 290) and 100ml (priced at AED 340) Eau de Parfum, while the accompanying assortment offers perfumed body lotion 200ml, perfumed body spray 250ml and a ring with solid perfume as limited edition. The house of Victoria's Secret also prepared a gift set which includes perfumed body lotion 100ml, perfumed bath 100ml, body fragrance 150ml and gift bag.

On the downside, although seeing the plastic flower on the bottle is uplifting, it does feel a bit cheap and can get in the way when trying to re-cap the bottle, but hey we are suckers for anything cute. No doubt the scent is sweet, crisp and fresh but once on the skin it is a very faint floral and wafts into a generic pale floral and then kind of just disappears. The price is a bit steep for a pale scent but when you do use it together with the lotion and body spray the entire fragrance does last you all through the day.
All in all it is a great scent, fairly lasting without being too strong that it curls your nose making it good for the workplace or any other time when you want to smell nice without wearing a cloud of fragrance.
