Inglot GCC recently organized live makeup demonstrations conducted by their super talented makeup artists from the 23rd to the 25th of October at the Sharjah Mega Mall. We took the opportunity to visit the stand on the last day for their afternoon session to gain some insight on Inglots makeup products as well as the expertise on makeup application.

Although it turned out to be a one-on-one tutorial session (lucky for us :)), the ever so charming Inglot makeup artist, Valentino, explained in detail every step of the application on the model and answered all questions that we threw at him.

The look he demonstrated was a smoky eye, suitable for after work with a well blended combination of night-time colors. To avoid the look of raccoon eyes, he used grays instead of blacks and neutral shades like browns, tans etc on the crease.

PRO TIP: Always apply your eye shadow first followed by your under eye concealer as this makes it easier to get rid of eye shadow fallout without having to mess up your concealer.

After the eyes, he went on to fill in her brows. This photo itself shows how filling in your eyebrows, especially with such a bold look can make a world of a difference and can sharpen the overall look you’re going for. He then cleaned up the brows with a bit of concealer and A FLAT BRUSH.

While Valentino was working his magic and touching up the model’s brows, I had to snap some photos of the collection! The setup was spacious and looked super professional. On one side was the foundations, compacts, powders, blushes and eye shadows while on the opposite side were the stacks of nail polishes and lipsticks… Oh how we wished we could just pop all of them right into our bag!!

On to the under eye, Valentino suggested applying minimal concealer with a fluffy brush in order to prevent the makeup creating lines and for a flawless effect. That’s right, a FLUFFY brush, not a sponge, not a concealer brush, but a Fluffy brush! That’s the trick ladies!

Using one of Inglot's best selling bronzers, he topped off the look with contouring, blush and a bit of highlight. Lastly, he suggested applying a nude lip liner (# 6) and finished it off with a similar nude lip-gloss so as not to overpower the look.

Bold eyes and a nude lip has always been a classic and easy look to pull off and ever since Kerry Washington and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini (Cole) started downplaying their lips for maximum eye-catching results this makeup trend has become increasingly popular with everyone trying their own versions of the look.
