Fall is a sign to return to rich, full-bodied lipsticks. Go for deep hues to kick start this beautiful season. Which shade will you slick on?

Here are our favourites for this season:
1. MELON-UP
Ditch your nude or pale pink lippy for a melon hue that works on all skin types. This light melony color, which comes in a matte formula by NYX (Indie Flick) will make olive and tan skin glow.

2. POLITELY PINK
For fresh and romantic allure without much effort, dusty pink is a shade to go for like Maybelline's 14HR lipstick in 'Please Stay Plum'. Keep the rest of your makeup on the same delicate note.

3. DECADENT PLUM
Flaunt a flawlessly lined, plum pout with MAC Rebel. A cult favourite among beauty gurus around the world-this shade screams fall. It is a stunning deep plum colour that isn’t too vampy, making it a perfect colour if you want to experiment with a dark lip.

MAROON FIVE
If you daring enough sport a burnt maroon lip (MAC – Hang-Up) this season – it looks extremely striking when paired with kohl-smudged eyes and strong brows. Try choosing shades with hints of brown to balance out the vibrancy of the blue.
The general rule for choosing lip color is as follows:
- Lighter skin tones can try bright or dark shades, avoiding mid-tone hues which will leave your look flat and washed out
- Medium skin tones can really wear anything – bright, deep, and mid-tone alike
- Dark skin tones should stick to anything in the mid-to deep range, staying away from anything too light
