This look has become very popular because the color is so deep and dramatic that that you barely need any makeup.

Swipe on your favorite plum gloss or lipstick, dab on some concealer, generously apply mascara, and you're out the door. Any trend that saves us time is just sheer brilliance!

A strong mouth is our favorite trend for fall, made wearable with rich plums and deep bordeauxs. These shades are perfect for the season because it looks stunning with grays, purples, cognacs, and mauves.

Here’s how you can achieve the perfect plum lips and eye makeup to match!

• Prep and prime your face creating a strong base for your makeup – MAC prep+prime

• Dab concealer on all areas that need coverage (Benefit Boi-ing No 4 conceals well in just a few dabs)

• Apply a BB cream all over your face for a smooth finish (Rimmel BB cream in Medium)

• For your eyes, apply a silver grey eyeshadow (Karaja eyeshadow palette) all over your lid and shade the outer corner with a smokey purple (NYX purple smokey look kit)

• Next with a liquid liner (Lakme Black Impact - available at Chachoos in Karama Centre, behind Lulu supermarket) outline your entire eye with well-defined edges. Apply kajal on your waterline and fill in any gap between your waterline and lower lashline for a neat finish.

• No eyemake up is complete without mascara. We used Rimmel Day 2 Night mascara for a lash lengthening effect and topped it off with Benefit They're real mascara for thick luxe black lashes.

• Finally for your lips, apply a bold shade like Colorbar ‘Posh Plum’, using a lip brush for more control, adding color slowly until you reach an intensity you are comfortable with. Finish by using the tip of your finger to blur the line around the lip for a delicate visual. The key to this look is playing with depth and softening the edges.
