Nandos Re-Opens in Sharjah - Revamped and Spicier

From the hand painted plates on the sandstone walls to the perfectly marinated ‘Quarto Frango’ in the mind numbing peri-peri sauce, the newly refurbished Nandos outlet in Al Qasba, Sharjah received a warm welcome from their local fans who certainly missed an outlet close to home.

We were invited to the re-opening and I must say I am glad I did not miss out on this one! Not a lot of food outlets excite me but an invite from the welcoming Barcelos Cockerel had my mouth watering at hello.

The cozy ambiance is perfect for either a romantic dinner or a great post-work meal to sooth your nerves with authentic Portuguese background music and not to mention, a stunning view of the Al Qasba canal.

We were presented with a set menu and went ahead with ordering almost everything and I have to add the garlic hummus with pita was definitely a winner ! The lemon and herb and mild chicken wings were succulent, juicy and cooked to perfection.

For our main course, we ordered two half chickens, a butterfly chicken breast and a flavorful chicken burger. An absolute lip smacking course indeed!

And lastly, the tip of the chocolate cake, literally, was the dessert. Nando’s, nutty honey biscuit cake and their famous chocolate cake were decadent, rich, and moist and the perfect end to an excellent meal.
